Use Google’s Wonder Wheel to Brainstorm Article Ideas
Google’s Wonder Wheel offers a fast and easy way to brainstorm new article ideas. Here’s how it works:
Do a Google search for a broad search term as you normally would and then click on the “Show options…” tab once the results are returned. For this example, let’s use the term “dog collars.”
Then, scroll down to “Standard View” and click on “Wonder Wheel”
and you get:
Clicking on any of the “spokes” from the central search term “dog collar” will result in more specialized search terms related to your original search results:
You can then choose to dig deeper into these more targeted phrases (i.e. “personalized leather dog collars”) or go back to the original wonder wheel and repeat with each of the remaining spokes. Plug the terms that grab your interest into your favorite keyword research tool (have you tried WordTracker’s free 7 day trial yet?) and select the ones with the best potential.
Then, start writing!
