Article Marketing: Top 25 Article Directories

Not all article directories are created equal – and nothing is carved in stone.  A directory that was once really strong may falter, while a previously low-ranking site can suddenly show impressive growth.

Therefore, I spent the better part of today updating and revising my existing list of preferred Article Directories for the 90-Day Content Marketing Challenge. (The information indicated in the Article Directory list below is accurate as of September 04, 2009).

In addition, I have highlighted the directories where I have personally found “no follow” tags on their page links.  Before submitting your hard work to a directory, you may want to do your own review.  To do this manually, simple click on “View” in your browser, then click on “Page Source.”  You will see a bunch of  text, but what you are looking for it something like this:

There is also a plug in for FireFox that will automatically highlight “no follow” links for you.

For the 90-Day Content Marketing Challenge, I will submit 3 informative, original and keyword-rich articles per week to each of the 25 article directories listed below and will report back once a month on the results.
