My name is Trish Lindemood and I am an experienced entrepreneur, writer and marketing consultant … and WebCopyResults.com is the culmination of everything I’ve learned throughout my 17+ year professional career: Sales + Writing (+ a dash of marketing savvy) = SEO Copywriting/Content Marketing.

My Background

I have been writing professionally since the mid-90s.  It is more a part of “who I am” versus “what I do.”

Aside from writing, my professional career has also consisted of sales and sales management positions – as both a salaried employee and an entrepreneur. I have had the opportunity to work for some top-notch organizations along the way, including Johnson & Johnson and Abbott Laboratories. The sales training (and field experience) I received from these organizations was outstanding.  That is where I first learned about consultative selling and focusing on what the customer wants and needs versus what I do. This realization has been truly life changing – and has made a huge difference in my own business endeavors.  

Eventually, I incorporated my writing/creative business and began publishing Welcome Home Magazine, an upscale print publication for new homeowners. Although I wrote primarily about  lifestyle issues in that publication – i.e., interior design, community events, gardening, and cooking – what I really did was consult with small business owners about their marketing programs.  In addition to writing and designing my customers’ print ads for the publication,  I was often asked for advice on their other marketing efforts, as well.

The magazine grew with each issue – more advertisers, more pages, more operating costs...  so I started looking around for additional working capital to take the business to the next level. Instead, this search led to a great career opportunity as a Regional Sales Manager for a financing company.  In that role, I managed three different sales channels (independent contractors, independent sales organizations, and employees) and consulted with small business owners on how to use money to grow their business.  It was a very entrepreneurial position in that I was given a lot of freedom as long as my sales teams produced results. It was like running my own multi-million dollar business – with a steady paycheck AND health benefits! 

During this time, I worked with literally hundreds of small business owners and gained valuable information about a number of different industries along the way. It was a great learning and growth experience – and I loved every minute of it!
