Words, WordPress & Working from Home

I have been working from home as a professional writer and as an account executive/sales manager since 1995. I know first-hand the benefits, perks – and challenges – of working exclusively from a home office.

And when it comes right down to it… it’s a pretty awesome way to make a living!

A little history…

I started writing professionally in 1995 and incorporated my writing/creative business (Catch-All Communications, Inc.) in 2003.

At that time, I began publishing Welcome Home Magazine, an upscale print publication for new homeowners.

Although I wrote primarily about lifestyle issues for the magazine – interior design, community events, gardening, and cooking – what I really did was consult with small business owners on how to grow their business. In addition to writing and designing my customer’s print ads for the publication, I also provided direction on their other marketing efforts, as well.

In 2008, I found – and fell in love with – WordPress. (In Internet years, that was practically a lifetime ago!)

This discovery changed everything for me…

What’s not to love about WordPress?

Once merely an open-source blogging platform, WordPress has evolved into a world-class content management system which gives small business owners the tools they need to succeed online.

Today, my business partner and I create highly customized and effective WordPress websites for a wide range of clients. In addition, we have also created a library of video tutorials and checklists to help our clients manage their new websites.

What can I do for you?

Throughout my corporate and private consulting career, I’ve worked with literally hundreds of small business owners and have gained a lot of valuable experience along the way. It’s been a great learning and growth experience – and I love every minute of it!
