I can’t believe it.
In less than 2 weeks, the 2nd Annual 90-Day Content Marketing Challenge will kick off here at WebCopyResults.com.
For the first 90-Day Challenge, the goals were pretty basic – drive more traffic and increase off-site exposure for a brand new site. (WebCopyResults.com was only about 6 weeks old at the time).
To review last year’s results, check out this link: 2009 90-Day Content Marketing Challenge Wrap-Up
This year, we’ll build on that basic foundation and focus more on achieving very specific, measurable business goals. Driving more traffic is great – but what REALLY matters is what that traffic does once it’s on your site.
In addition, we’ll talk about how to make this challenge scalable to your own situation and offer examples of how to use these techniques for different business models (online and off).
The first official post in this series will be published on Monday, August 30, 2010.
In the meantime, I’m working on a few things behind the scenes and will post periodic updates over the next 2 weeks. (For starters, I am creating a daily action plan template that you can apply to your own web content marketing efforts).
Stay tuned for more details – or better yet, use the opt-in form below to sign up to receive timely updates.
Til Next Time,
PS To make the 2010 90-Day Content Marketing Challenge even more interactive, I just added the KeywordLuv plug-in. Now, when you leave a comment, you can add targeted keywords to build backlinks to your site. Just remember to link to a specific post or page, rather than to a general ‘blog’ or home page… (unless that is the exact page you are optimizing!

Looking forward to the challenge. Is this something we can work on too or are we just following your challenge? I forget what you did last time and haven’t been over to the link to check it out.
Hi Angie!
Yes! Definitely something you can work on, too.
I want this challenge to be as interactive as possible – so will talk about ways to create a consistent publishing schedule that fits your own situation.
(I am working on a couple of things that you’ll be able to print out and use to follow along!)
Totally looking forward to this. Danielle and I have a JV we are working on and we believe this will help kick start it with good content.
Thanks Angie!
Let me know if there are any particular topics you’d like to see covered. I am working on the publishing schedule now and have the basic topics in place, but would love your feedback on what you would like to see!
Participating in this challenge would serve me well too. I have a site that’s about 3 months old and has some content, but not too much traffic yet. I also have to sharpen the brand.
Waiting for your posts!
Thanks Satu – glad to hear you will be following along with the challenge. Look forward to hearing about your results!
