How to Add Images to Your aWeber Email Opt-In Form

Just a quick post today to go over how to add an image to your aWeber email opt-in form…

Let’s start by looking at the screenshot below:

If you click on the “Image” tab (circled, top of screen) – it will drop an “image placeholder” in your form below the submit button. I didn’t like it there (just a personal preference) – so I clicked and dragged it above the input fields.

Now – take a look at the “Image” dialogue box to the left – the top line asks for your image URL.

The image you want to add will needed to be hosted somewhere. I’m sure there are many ways to do this, but I just upload it to a privately published WordPress page (using the same image icon you normally use to add images to your pages and posts), then copy and paste that link in the form.

As you can see from the screenshot, you can also add a description and determine the position (left, center or right) of your image on the opt-in form.  If you’d like to look at the finished form as an example – click here. (It will take 15 seconds to appear on the screen).

One major tip to help this go more smoothly:

You’ll want to edit your image to the right size BEFORE you upload it. You won’t be able to “shrink” it once you do. So, if you are planning to add your email opt-in form to a sidebar widget – you’ll want to look at the dimensions you have available. If your sidebar is 225 px across – you’ll want your image width to be less than that. (I just use the default photo program that came on my computer to do this).
